Golf Croquet played Tuesday and Thursday Competition January to December, names in by 9.00 a.m. for a 9.30 a.m. start. Visitors always welcome!!
We will always welcome people who want to try croquet. Please wear flat shoes and bring a hat. Our club will loan you a mallet We are happy to assist any group who would like to organize a private "social day".

From Cobb Highway turn at Woolworth's into Perricotta Road approx 4 kms, turn right at Cadell Motel into Twenty-four Lane, then approximately 2 kms turn right into Rich River Golf Club. Continue past club house and past motel, turn right through car park then left and go around bowling greens and see croquet courts on your left.

RRCC GC Open Singles and Hi-Lo Doubles Oct 23
The Tournament started on a very chilly Friday morning with representatives from fourteen clubs to play over the next four days. Ten Div.3 players competed in two blocks with winners of each block playing a final. Spectators were treated to a very even contest between Joylene Sutherland, Mooroopna and Helen Brierley, Rich River, who had both won 4 of 4 games. Joylene was the victor with a 7/6 win over Helen. Day 2 saw twelve Div 2 players in two blocks. Winning 5 games each were block winners, Neil Warburton, Wonthaggi and Paul Manwaring,RNB. At the end of another exiting final, Paul finished 7/5 over Neil. Seven players competed in Div 1.After six games, Russell Smyth, River River with all 6 games was the winner ahead of John James Deniliquin with 4 wins. On Monday, Hi-lo partners were drawn for 4 games of Doubles.With many even results, Virginia Wheeler, Wonthaggi and Rick Finch, Twin City were declared winners ahead of Antoinette Green, Portland and John Young Mooroopna.

Victorian Country Regionals April 2024
Rich River hosted the AC Country Regionals on behalf of the GVCA. In Div.One, Stephen Forster,Geelong made croquet look easy by pegging out in all 6 matches including 1 triple peel. Kenn Boal, Rich River also had a great Tournament, finishing second with 4 wins. Kim Collins, Geelong dominated in Div Two by also winning all 6 matches.Runner-up was Ian Phillips,Gippsland with 4 wins. In Div.Three Russell Kelly,Geelong began the last game with 4 wins against Michael North,Gippsland who had 5 wins. A good win to Russell saw him finishing the winner and Michael runner-up. In Div.Four the last match was also the decider with both Naomi Patullo,Murray Valley and Charles Armstrong,Gippsland on 5 wins each. Naomi prevailed and was also awarded 'The Most Potential' trophy. 'The Shield' was awarded to Geelong with 420 pts with River River in second place with 338pts.

RRCC Anzac Classic 20-21 April 24
The Anzac Classic AC Tournament was played across 6 days at the Rich River Club with competitors travelling from Brunswick,Canberra,Castlemaine,Charlton,Cook River, Deniliquin,Echuca Moama,Kew,MCC,Numurkah,Quarry Hill,Ringwood, Sandy Bay,Swan Hill,Wagga Wagga and Rich River clubs. Hitting off first were fourteen Section 1 players competing in 2 blocks. Winners of each block played off in a thrilling match for spectators with Kenn Boal,Rich River having both clips on the centre peg when Callum Hyland,Sandy Bay Tas rose to the occasion and scored his last 14 hoops to pegout and finish 26 to Kenn 24. Minor placings went to Greg Hill,Brunswick and Lachlan Berryman,MCC.

RRCC Anzac Classic 22-25 April 24
Beautiful Autumn weather greeted the nine Section 2 players on the Monday and Tuesday for their games.Matches were hard fought with a demonstration of great skill and strategy against opponents.At the end of the last round Chris Eiffert,Quarry Hill and Russell Smyth,Rich River had both won 5 matches,but Chris was declared winner with higher nett hoops. Section 3(eight players) and 4(five players) competed on Wednesday and Thursday. In Section 3 the Rich River players excelled with David Ryant the winner with 6 wins and Ian Grant runner-up with 5 wins. In Section 4, winner Clare Newton,Kew had 3 wins and Cherie Lessing, Rich River as the best of the 2 Game winners was declared the runner-up.

RRCC Handicap Doubles June 24
Rich River welcomed players from Albury,Belmont, Deniliquin,Echuca Moama,Mooroopna, Morwell, Nurmurkah,Quarry Hill,Sorrento,Wagga Wagga, Wangaratta,West Rosebud,Wonthaggi,Yarrawonga and RichRiver to compete in the Handicap Doubles Tournment.20 pairs were divided into 2 blocks with the winners of each playing off in a final. Frosty mornings turned into perfect conditions for the stiff and skillful competition.After two days of very close play with 7 pairs winning 6 or more games out of 9, the final playoff was between the team of Maureen O'Keefe,Wangaratta and Shane Downie, Traralgon and Chris eiffert, Quarry Hill and John Young, Mooroopna. The final score was 7/5 with Maureen and Shane taking the win.
